Best Florida suburbs to move to: a short guide

Before we even begin listing our top suburban areas in Florida, we have to note one thing. That is, how to even prepare for this upcoming research and house hunting. Of course, if you’re moving to Florida for the military, you don’t get to choose your suburb since there is a high chance you’ll be living on a military base. In other cases, there are a few factors to keep in mind when looking for the right neighborhood.

  • The proximity to the workplace. If you’re moving for work, chances are your employer might help you in the moving process. If not, at least you know where you’ll be spending your work week, so you might as well live nearby. In case you cannot find a place that is close, at least consider how your commute will go. If the neighborhood is close to a major highway, it will make your commute much easier!
  • The school districts. Some people’s ideas of what the best Florida suburbs to move to are may not match with yours. When you’ve got children, the choice gets limited based on the school that they will go to. Not to worry, there are many that will have great schools around, you just have to look carefully!
  • Personal preferences. There are some who wish to live close to the water, and others who prefer a more urban lifestyle. Whether you lead a quiet life in the suburbs or want to be in a place that is more lively, there is an option for it!

What are the best choices for families moving to Florida?

There are plenty of choices for families when relocating to Florida. People tend to forget that Miami and Orlando aren’t the only cities in the state and that there are plenty of family-friendly neighborhoods. Here are a few that we like the most, and maybe you will too!

Winter Park is definitely among the best Florida suburbs to move to

Only 14 miles west of Orlando, this is one of the top choices for most families. A fairly quiet, yet interesting area, with a strong local economy and a low unemployment rate. Bonus point, it’s worth getting annual park passes for the entire family! We are sure your kids will love going to Disneyworld and Universal Studios more often than before. This is one of the perks when you’re moving long-distance – you get to experience a lot of new things that you couldn’t before! On the other hand, housing in Winter Park can be a problem if you’ve got a tight budget.

Living so close to the best theme parks in the country sure is a perk! It’s something both the parents and children can enjoy on the weekends.

Weston might just be what you are looking for

Built by the same people who designed Disneyworld, this little community is perfect for families and young professionals. This is a planned city, located right next to the famous Everglades. It was officially declared a city quite recently, in 1996. Also, if you’re working with a strict budget for this relocation, Weston might be a perfect choice! It is one of the most affordable places in the entire state of Florida. It’s got great schools and entertainment options for the entire family to enjoy.

Island Estates are a great option for those with a bigger budget

This idyllic waterfront community is a dream come true for many. If you’re working with a bit more cash than the average American family, you might want to look into moving to the Island Estates. The houses here are pricey, but it is completely worth it. It’s home to the famous Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and several movies were shot here! If you’re looking to relocate a business, this neighborhood could also work for you. Commercial moving Clearwater FL has seen a lot of new businesses open up in the area! There is even a beach trolley that can take you straight to the ocean, and downtown Clearwater is just a short drive away.

If expensive houses are something you can afford, go for it! Island Estates are full of great properties in an amazing area, so close to the beach and the downtown as well.

Rowena Gardens still sits among the best Florida suburbs to move to

Looking for a small community, but you still wish to be a part of urban life? Rowena Gardens is the place for you! There are a lot of parks, bars, restaurants, and shops in this area. It belongs to the famous Orange County, and its residents are really satisfied with the quality of life. Unlike the rest of the State, this Orlando suburb tends to be more on the liberal side, if that is important to you. There are many great schools in the area, and the Orlando Science Center is just a few blocks away!

In other words, searching for the perfect Florida suburb can take a long time, but there are plenty of options out there. Take your time and maybe ask for professional help if needed. Put your own needs first, and most importantly, have fun!
