Big Man’s Moving Company speaks with dozens of potential customers each and every day. Every prospect asks the same question… “how much will it cost”.  Before you ask how much a service costs we recommend 4 things.  Below are the last 2 questions you should ask a moving company.

Angie’s List, Thumbtack and HomeAdvisor are pay to play shopping aids that don’t check for any of these 4 things.

    3. Does the moving company carry general liability insurance?
    – General liability insurance protects your home from any employee/furniture damage and your belongings from damage. GL covers is a door/wall would get dented or a piece of furniture was accidentally broken. Without general liability insurance your home and belongings are not protected. GL is a lot different than commercial auto insurance which covers any accidents involving the moving truck and sprinkler heads, mailboxes, etc.

    4. Does the moving company carry cargo insurance?
    – Cargo insurance covers your belongings inside of the moving truck while your items are in transit. If a tire were to blow or someone slammed into the truck wrecking items, cargo insurance would pickup this bill. Without cargo insurance your belongings are not protected in transit. Commercial auto insurance does not offer cargo insurance, these are 2 separate policies.

    Why Choose Us?

Big Man’s Moving was a great choice for our recent long distance move! They cared so much about making sure that we were comfortable with the entire process. While I never met Josh, he definitely strives to “do things the right way”. James drove our stuff across the country and we never worried about it once. He was super professional, called us to give updates on his location and brought a good sense of humor to the loading/unloading process. I wish Big Man’s Moving would move to our new city, just in case we ever need them again!
